About Melvin Mills Roofing

Melvin Mills Roofing, LLC, is a 2nd-generation family-owned roofing business that proudly serves the Southeast Missouri area, with headquarters in Fredericktown, MO.

In the mid-1980s, our founder and namesake, Melvin, started offering roofing, siding, carpentry, and general handyman services under the name Melvin Mills Construction. As Melvin’s reputation for great customer service and quality work grew over the years, so did the demand for his services.

In 2008, Melvin’s youngest son, Craig, became a full partner in the business, and we began to narrow our scope of work to focus on building a true residential roofing company. We changed our name to Melvin Mills Roofing, LLC, to signal our commitment to providing outstanding roofing services with the highest level of specialized training and expertise.

Our vision is to be the Southeast Missouri leader in all aspects of the residential roofing market through innovative training, unparalleled customer service, and fiscal responsibility.

Melvin Mills

Founding Partner

Melvin is the founder and namesake of Melvin Mills Roofing, LLC. He has over 35 years of experience in the roofing and construction industries. In his 70s now, Melvin still enjoys being on a roof, but his favorite part of the business is getting to meet so many interesting new people. Melvin lives near Patton with his wife, Carolyn. He is the proud father of 6 adult children and delighted ‘Grandpa’ of 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In his free time, Melvin enjoys bird-watching, gardening, and good food.

Craig Mills

Managing Partner

Craig is Melvin’s youngest son. He grew up around roofing, and began helping his dad out in his early teens. In 2008, he joined his dad as a partner in Melvin Mills Roofing, LLC. Watching employees learn and grow to find their strengths and seeing customers excited about their new roof are Craig’s two favorite parts of working in the business. He lives in Fredericktown with his wife, Leslie, and new son, Elliott. He enjoys movies, yard work, and golfing.
